     Originally researched and developed by NASA, LED low-level light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, is the application of light energy to the body to obtain therapeutic benefits. Just like plant photosynthesis, light produces a natural biochemical reaction within us, stimulating our cells and mitochondria to produce more energy (ATP). 

     Red and near-infrared light stimulate adipocytes (fat cells), creating temporary pores in the cell membranes. During treatment, fat lipids empty out of the cell into the interstitial fluids of the body, which are then excreted through the body's normal metabolic processes (sweat and urine). 

     Increased cellular energy has a wide range of medical beneficial applications across many medical fields that include body sculpting, skin care, hair growth, pain management, wound healing and more. 

     The client will be asked to undress to their undergarments and lay on the massage table either on their back or stomach (depending on the area being treated). 

     The red light therapy panels will then be laid over the areas for desired results. The process is pain-free and does not produce any heat.

     Treatment time will be 3 minutes depending on the area of the body being worked on. There will be zero down-time and clients can resume normal activities immediately after. 

     Results can be instant; however, maximum results are usually achieved after a minimum of 3 treatments. For best results we recommend 3 treatments a week for 4 weeks. Results vary from person to person and will depend on the individual's body, how it reacts to the treatment, and after care.
